Groundbreaking for New Child Care Center in
Mountain View

01/08/08 - The City of Mountain View, California held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Child Care Center on Monday, January 7, 2008. This exciting new center has been in the planning stages for a number of years and will meet the need for infant through 5 year-old child care for the local community, including spaces for low-income families. Childrens' Creative Learning Center (CCLC) will operate this center that will serve approximately 104 children from infants to 5 years of age.

The center, scheduled to open in September 2008, will be built near the Senior Center, located at 266 Escuela Avenue. The center will have several community-use features, including a Community Resource Room that will have parenting information (in multiple languages), and it will add a children's playground to the area (which will be available for non Center use when the Center is not open).

This project has been made possible through a partnership with the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. For information about this center, please contact info@cclc.com.
